Robin Hill Launches Charitable Fund to Support Isle of Wight Families in Need

Robin Hill is proud to announce the creation of the Robin Hill Fund facilitated by WightAID, a new charitable initiative set up to support families on the Isle of Wight who are experiencing hardship. Administered through local grant-giving charity WightAID, the fund will provide vital assistance to those most in need across the Island.

The Robin Hill Fund is available for families facing challenges in meeting daily food needs and requiring support with school uniforms and more general clothing. It will also help to access meaningful family outings.  Families will be able to apply for support through their local schools, making the process accessible and community-led.

Nik Attfield has been appointed as the voluntary Chairperson of the Robin Hill Fund. Nik brings over a decade of experience in the charity sector, including her former role as Head of Charitable Services at Age UK, Isle of Wight. She has a history of managing multiple fundraising projects and working collaboratively to secure funding for a number of community services, including Men in Sheds and Parklands in Cowes, a dementia resource centre.

“I am committed to supporting families in giving their children the best start in life. As a parent and former school governor on the Island, I understand the impact of child poverty and low educational attainment. I am delighted to continue helping address this issue in my role at Robin Hill”

The Robin Hill Fund marks a new chapter in the park’s commitment to supporting island communities and creating positive, lasting impact for future generations.
